What better foreshadowing than having your first date at a wedding? That’s exactly how it happened for Zachary and Kimberley.
The couple met through a dating app. Soon after, they realized they had been going to the same church all along! When it came to a first date, the couple decided to attend a wedding together. The rest was and history and I had the pleasure of photographing their vows.
Kimberley and Zachary were married at Almquist Farm in Hastings, Minnesota, about 30 minutes southeast of the Twin Cities.
The couple booked a full day package with me–12 hours covering everything from getting ready at venue’s suites to the outdoor ceremony to the reception held in Almquist’s barn.
With faith being an important part of Zachary and Kimberley’s lives, as well as part of their story, the couple performed the feet-washing ceremony. The Feet Washing ceremony is a Christian-based tradition, which is representative of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples in John 13:1-17, as a symbol of love and humility.
After the reception dinner, Zachary, Kimberley, and I caught the last rays of sunlight on a day that was originally forecasted to rain. After the wedding attendees toasted, ate their fill, and tore up the dance floor, we did a big send off for the newly weds–a tunnel of sparklers.
Congratulations, Kimberley and Zachary!
