Caroline & Travis | Weisman Art Museum Wedding – Minneapolis, MN
Having a small courthouse wedding doesn’t mean you can’t throw a party two years later — that’s exactly what Caroline and Travis did! These two have been officially married since 2017, but have been working overseas. When they had a short stateside sabbatical for several months, they decided it was the perfect time to gather together their friends and family to have the wedding party they never had.
And they made their wedding a real party!
Travis and one of his friends rode a tandem bicycle to the ceremony. They experienced their first look together (after we helped Caroline walk backwards). We took photos on the U of M campus around the Weisman, and then took their family photos in front of a fantastic piece of neon artwork. A friend officiated their ceremony, and one friend even made an appearance in the form of a cardboard (he was in Germany, and a cardboard cutout was cheaper than flying). Dinner was from a local food truck and caterer (chips and guac for days!). Their family and friends shared stories and toasted the couple (I laughed so hard I cried), and DJ Shawn kicked off the dance. We ended our evening with a couple night photos in front of the Downtown Minneapolis Skyline.
Congratulations Caroline and Travis!

Introducing Caroline + Travis // Wedding Photography at the Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis
Fun with long exposures in front of the Coffman Memorial Union for a classy, photojournalistic shot.
A second wedding celebration for the party they never had!
The Weisman Art Museum is a beautiful backdrop, indoors and outdoors for a wedding.
A wedding photo with the Minneapolis night skyline to end the evening!
