Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Jenna and Justin’s wedding at Ridgetop Events in Prescott, Wisconsin was both!
From the moment the day began, it was clear that faith, family, and meaningful traditions would be woven into every part of their celebration. Bright summer colors filled the venue and every detail reflected the relationships that helped shape Jenna and Justin’s story.
As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite parts of the day was seeing how intentionally they created opportunities to honor both their faith and the people who have impacted their lives.
Getting Ready at The Cove Guest House
The day began at The Cove Guest House in Prescott, where Jenna spent the morning surrounded by her bridesmaids, family, and plenty of excitement.
After hair and makeup were complete, Jenna’s mother helped her into her wedding dress, creating one of the many meaningful moments throughout the day. Before heading to the venue, Jenna shared a first look with her bridesmaids, who were so excited to see her complete wedding look for the first time.
Meanwhile, our second photographer spent the morning with Justin and his groomsmen, documenting their preparations and portraits before the festivities officially began.

First Looks, Private Vows, and Journals Filled with Memories
After arriving at Ridgetop Events, Jenna shared a heartfelt first look with her father before seeing Justin.
The couple chose to share a private first look before the ceremony, giving them an opportunity to slow down and spend a few quiet moments together before the celebration began. During this time, they exchanged personal vows. Jenna and Justin also brought the journals they had been writing to one another throughout their relationship. Jenna read a passage from her journal to Justin, creating a deeply personal moment.

Group Portraits
The couple chose to do all their group portaits pre-ceremony, including couples portraits, wedding party photos, and family formals. This freed them up to enjoy the rest of their day and be fully present with their guests afterward.
The bright outdoor light and lush greenery created a beautiful, natural backdrop, perfectly complementing the bridesmaid dresses and bouquets for fresh, timeless images.

A Faith-Filled Ceremony at Ridgetop Events
Surrounded by family and friends, Jenna and Justin exchanged vows on the beautiful lawn at Ridgetop Events under the summer sun.
Their ceremony was officiated by their pastor, Pastor Robert Alexander, and reflected the faith that has played an important role throughout their relationship.
One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was the unity cross they assembled together, symbolizing the foundation they are building as husband and wife. Guests were also invited to highlight meaningful scripture passages and leave notes for the couple, creating a keepsake they will treasure for years to come.
The outdoor ceremony space at Ridgetop Events provided a stunning backdrop for the occasion and showcased why it remains such a popular Wisconsin wedding venue.

Honoring Family Through Meaningful Traditions
One of the most touching aspects of Jenna and Justin’s wedding was the intentional way they honored family members throughout the day.
Justin’s late father was remembered through a memorial chair during the ceremony, a memorial display inside the venue, and heartfelt words shared during the best man’s speech.
Jenna also honored her grandmother, who had gifted her wedding dress, with a special portrait celebrating their connection. Throughout the reception, guests enjoyed favorite beverages that held special meaning for Jenna’s paternal grandparents, creating another subtle but meaningful tribute.
The couple also displayed photographs of family members and loved ones who had married before them, celebrating the generations of marriages that helped inspire their own.

A Reception Full of Color, Creativity, and Celebration
Following dinner and speeches, guests enjoyed an evening filled with thoughtful details and unique experiences.
One of the highlights was a live wedding painter experience provided by Leanne Larson of Paint My Wedding Day. Guests could pose for a photo and receive a hand-painted keepsake created in real time. It was a fun and memorable gift that guests will cherish long after the wedding day.
Another favorite detail was the custom thumbprint guestbook. Guests selected paint colors and added fingerprints to a painted tree canvas, creating a collaborative piece of artwork for Jenna and Justin’s home.
Colorful floral designs, vibrant decor, and beautifully displayed desserts added even more personality to the celebration while guests split their time between the dance floor and enjoying conversations outdoors.

Sunset Portraits to End the Night
As the evening came to a close, we stepped away for a few final portraits during sunset.
The rolling landscape surrounding Ridgetop Events provided the perfect setting as Jenna and Justin enjoyed a few quiet moments together before returning to their guests. The soft summer light, colorful details, and genuine joy they shared made these portraits the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
Jenna and Justin, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful celebration. It was an honor to document the faith, family traditions, and joyful moments that made your wedding uniquely yours.
