Wedding Photography at The Cottage Farmhouse // Jordyn & Mike

The Cottage Farmhouse // Jordyn & Mike

Red sky at night, sailor’s delight.”

And it was a delight. The forecast promised rain for Jordyn and Mike’s wedding at the Cottage Farmhouse in Glencoe, Minnesota, but Mother Nature brought a beautiful cotton-candy sunset instead. Speaking of cotton-candy, the caterer brought a cotton candy machine to the reception for a fun and different treat.

Jordyn and Mike exchanged letters before their first look. I love when couples choose to do this — getting ready can be a whirlwind, and handwritten letters are a way to slow down the moments before couples see each other.

The couple were married in The Cottage Farmhouse’s barn loft. High ceilings and pink–dare I say, “cotton candy”–uplighting set the backdrop for an elegant and rustic ceremony.

After the ceremony, there was no shortage of of portrait locations around the venue. We took pictures in the tree swing, corn crib, the bridal suite, and in the pasture, taking full advantage of the candy-colored sunset.

Congratulations, Jordyn and Mike!
