The absolutely beautiful St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral sits in the historic Sheridan neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis. The cathedral also served as the backdrop for Lucas and Sarah’s winter micro wedding in early 2021. Though the gathering was small, the church was filled with ornate details, ceremony, and of course, love.
For wedding party and couples portraits, we visited one of my favorite places for photography in Minneapolis: Boom Island Park. The city’s skyline is a perfect backdrop, and it’s exactly where we chose to shoot portraits of Lucas and Sarah and the bridal party.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the reception was cut short, however, all the family members still let with some grub from Petit Leon, where the original reception space for Lucas and Sarah’s wedding.
The celebration ended with a sparkler sendoff for the couple on the steps of the cathedral. Congrats, Lucas and Sarah!
