Claire & Shane | Northeast Minneapolis Engagement Photography
When we sat down to schedule our engagement session, Claire and Shane didn’t have anything very specific, but they did outline a couple criteria:
1. They wanted something fun and different.
2. They thought a brewery would be cool for photos.
3. They like the Lowry Bridge as a backdrop.
4. They wanted photos during sunset.
Do-able? Absolutely. I live in Northeast Minneapolis…and it’s also the place to go for breweries.
We started our session at 56 Brewing. This brewery’s taproom is seriously cool. They have a large wooden sign in the shape of Minnesota. Their upstairs Mezzanine balcony has pinball machines. They have a gorgeous outdoor patio and games. So worth it.
Across the street from 56 Brewing is a relatively unknown park. This is where we went for our sunset golden hour photos. The sunlight and weather was beautiful that evening – it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Next, we traveled to Betty Dangers Country Club and rode the ferris wheel! The Downtown Minneapolis skyline is one of my favorite backdrops.
We then walked across the street to Riverside Park. After a few photos in the park (Claire and Shane bonked heads, which was pretty entertaining), we snagged some sunset photos with the Lowry Bridge.
Our evening session ended with a couple gorgeous night photos that I backlit with an off camera flash.
Congratulations Claire and Shane! I’m so excited for your June 2020 wedding!
