Olivia and Carter married at Wilderness Wedding Barn in Bigfork, Minnesota — about a four-hour drive north of the Twin Cities. The ceremony was held in a small clearing among pencil-straight pines, with a “theatre in the round” style seating, meaning the couple was literally surrounded by their friends and families while they exchanged their vows and rings.
The groves of Norway pines are a stunning part of the venue, but the barn is extremely cute as well! The 120 year old barn was decorated beautifully for the reception. Sadly, the trailer with all of Olivia and Carter’s DIY decorations was stolen the evening before their wedding — but Sue, the owner of Wilderness Wedding Barn stepped up and provided the couple use of their own decor (something that comes with every venue rental).
After a lovely meal, the dance started, but with a twist. When Olivia and I planned out the schedule for the day, they explained how important it was to do their first dances in the pines under the light of the chandeliers. So, the dance started unofficially in the barn, and at dusk, everyone walked out to the pavilion in the pines for the first dances.
Overall, it was an intimate, romantic wedding day, and I’m so thankful to have met these two amazing people!
Congratulations, Olivia and Carter!
