Kelsey and John’s wedding was a delightful affair held at the charming Hutton House, nestled by the serene Medicine Lake in Minnesota. Opting for convenience, the couple prepared for their big day in the venue’s suites. Kelsey and her bridesmaids were pampered by the skilled hands of Whitney from W. Bass Bridal for hair and Amy Rachael for makeup. Kelsey looked stunning in a t-shirt inspired dress crafted by the talented Sarah Seven, whose design perfectly matched her comfy and elegant bridal style.
The day unfolded with a private first look and vows, followed by capturing couple portraits and wedding party photographs. Breaking tradition, Kelsey and John decided to kick off their celebration with a social hour before the ceremony. While greeting the couple, guests also indulged in delectable hors d’oeuvres by Fork and Flair and savored espresso from Minneapolis-based Coffee Cart, a nod to Kelsey and John’s shared love for coffee. Each cup bore a personalized stamp of their beloved dog, Bailey, symbolizing his presence on their special day.
Ensuring their guests had a memorable time was paramount to the couple. A photo booth was set up during the social hour, inviting guests to capture moments and leave their mark in the couple’s guestbook. Kelsey and John took the unconventional route of mingling with their guests, deviating from the norm of pre-ceremony seclusion.
As the sun dipped low, everyone gathered at the outdoor ceremony space where Kelsey and John exchanged vows. The festivities continued indoors with a sumptuous dinner following a few cherished family snapshots. Adding a playful twist, guests were prompted to serenade the couple with a love-themed song to witness a kiss. Kelsey and John also shared in the tradition of cutting their cake together, from the amazing Thirsty Whale Bakery.
Although not avid dancers, Kelsey and John shared a tender moment during their first dance before joining their parents on the dance floor. Outdoors, the celebration continued with yard games like giant Jenga and cornhole, ensuring everyone had a blast. The photo booth reopened, capturing more joyous memories while some guests danced the night away indoors.
The evening culminated in a magical sparkler send-off orchestrated by the talented team at Dos Goats Plans. Surrounded by their loved ones, Kelsey and John bid farewell to their wedding day, captured forever in the glow of sparkling lights and cherished memories.
