Though I’m primarily based in the Upper Midwest, I’m happy to travel! It’s actually one of my favorite things to do!
Makayla and Matt asked me to come out to Denver, Colorado, for an engagement session. We shot at two different locations — Cheesman Park and Roxborough Park.
Cheesman Park is located right in the heart of Denver, in the aptly named “Cheesman Park neighborhood.” There’s a stunning marble pavilion, the Cheesman Pavilion (built 1908) that gave us a backdrop for our shoot (and some shade from the sun).
After a quick outfit change and a one hour drive out of the city, we traded urban green spaces for more rugged landscapes — Roxborough State Park. The park sits at the front edge of the Rockies and is beautiful. There are beautiful red rock formations that reach from the ground toward the sky — and we used them to our advantage. After securing our photography permit, Matt, Makayla and I hit the hiking trails and wandered through the park’s unique geological icons.
This will be a trip I won’t forget and cannot wait to get back to Denver!
